For 15 years people have been
coming to Sweethaven to
create vacation memories
they will cherish for a lifetime.
From the very beginning we knew…there is something special about Sweethaven. So close to Lake Michigan and so far from the congestion and chaos of everyday life. With only 5 cottages on 9 wooded acres there is a feeling of spaciousness and tranquility that makes tightly wound grown-ups sleep like babies. Each cottage has it’s own unique look and location, but all have every amenity needed for a comfortable retreat. The moss-covered paths beckon you to take a walk in the woods. The tree house, horseshoe pit and the volleyball court beg you to come and play. The screened porches, sunny decks and private hot tubs offer serene spots to just sit and rest. And there’s a perfect place for campfires to sprout at the drop of a match.
All year long Sweethaven is where beach excursions begin, snowball fights breakout, and hayrides happen. We’ve hosted too many family reunions to count, a handful of weddings and quite a few corporate retreats. We’ve welcomed young lovers and watched them return as partners and then parents. We delight in noticing how much the little ones have grown year after year.
We have become a home-away-from-home for people with pets. We’ve celebrated countless birthdays, holidays, retirements, commencements and engagements. But, it’s the quiet moments, a nap in the hammock, a walk to the beach, making s’mores under a starry sky that make the happiest memories.
It’s amazing how quickly 15 years has flown by. This year treat yourself and your loved ones to some happy memories at Sweethaven.
