Policies and Procedures
- Prices are subject to change without notification.
- Check-in time is 3-7 p.m. Eastern. Check-out time is 12 Noon Eastern. Notification of late arrival is required.
- There is a 25% deposit on all rentals. Your deposit will be returned if cancellation is made at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival. Reservations cancelled less than 2 weeks prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of entire advance deposit unless the cottage can be re- booked. All deposits are due when a cottage is booked.
- There is a $50 service charge on all cancellations.
- 2-night minimum on weekends and 3-night minimum on holiday weekends.
- We rent FULL WEEKS only on 2 & 3 bedroom units from end of June to Labor Day. One-bedroom units have a 2-night minimum. Weekly rentals in July and August require a 50% deposit and 4 weeks notification of cancellation.
- Children and pets are welcomed. Maximum 3 pets per cottage. Pet owners assume responsibility for damage caused by children or pets.
- There is a $25 charge per person per night for every person over the maximum, including children.
- 2-night minimum on weekends and 3-night minimum on holiday weekends.
- Guests will pay for the full length of their reservation.
- There is a 6% Michigan sales tax & a 2% Lodging tax.
- Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express as well as cash or checks, is accepted.
- Bikes and other toys are available for your use in the bike shed. Please return them when you've finished with them.
- No noise in the yard after 9 p.m. Eastern.
- You will not hold Sweethaven or its owners responsible for any claim loss, expense or damage to any person or property in or upon the premises.
- The cost of any damage to Sweethaven cottages or property will be reflected on your bill (charged to your credit card).
